Inter-regional cooperation of the project participants will be institutionally
covered by the following nonprofit organization (citizens' associations):
Center for democratic transition (CEDET) from Belgrade, Serbia,
Center for democracy and human rights (CEDEM) from Podgorica,
Montenegro, and
Center for transition and civil society research (CTCSR) from
Zagreb, Croatia.
Partnership authorization has been given to CEDET. CEDET is an applicant
and the leading organization and will provide the management of the
project. Partner organization will be - according to the active and
interactive role of all project participants - equally involved in the
project realization.
Reasons for the
role of each partner:
Experts from CEDEM, Podgorica and from CENTER FOR TRANSITION AND CIVIL
SOCIETY, Zagreb, participate from the beginning together with experts
from CEDET, Belgrade in this project articulation. The common work of
University professors from Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia is based on
equal participation, on interactive, dialogue type, and open-minded
work, on the principles of good partnership. Each project topic has
been covered equally with Croatian and Yugoslav (either Serbian or Montenegrin,
or the both) participant, in order to attain comparative analysis of
transitional processes in Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia. Reasons for
the common work of these partners are: comparative theoretical and empirical
research, practical-political and policy making impact, educational
and pedagogical impact, peace building in the Balkans region, affirmation
of anti-nationalism by all project participants, promotion of Stability
Pact and European integration in Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia.
A highly qualified,
common-spirited, group of 37 University professors from Croatia, Serbia
and Montenegro will work together on this Project. The research team
will be divided into national sections (Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro).
Each of these sections will have its coordinator, which will be in close
touch with the Project leader. Members of national sections, dealing
with the same area of research, will be also connected very closely.
Other members and national sections will critically review particular
results of each member and national section, so that each sub-project
and the final comparative analysis should essentially represent an interactive
and commonly gathered result.
The project
coordinator will be Prof. Dragica Vujadinovic-Milinkovic. Country coordinators
will be Prof. Lino Veljak (Croatia), Prof. Vladimir Goati (Serbia) and
Prof. Veselin Pavicevic (Montenegro). There will be 37 members of the
Project (4 coordinators, plus 33 participants: 17 from Croatia, 14 from
Serbia, and 6 from Montenegro). There will be also some colleagues engaged
- according to specific needs - for external contributions.
